Whether you are hosting an event for 10 or 10,000 – the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center provides an array of locations surrounding an exhibit space that is second to none.  Whether your event is a private meting or a trade show, our innovative Chefs are eager to partner with you to deliver a dining experience that will leave you and your guests wanting more.


With 84 meeting rooms, 516,000 square feet of exhibit space, ample registration and pre-function spaces and the Grand Ballroom, the BCEC is truly a destination with stunning architecture, superior service and unsurpassed technology.


For our exhibitors, when you can’t get away from your booths, or would like to attract more traffic, we offer in-booth exhibitor catering.  Our menus have been specially created by our Chefs to meet the needs of all exhibitors.  Rental equipment, including ice cream freezers, popcorn machines, water coolers and cookie ovens are readily available.

The main entrance to the BCEC is located right off Summer Street and leads directly to the North Lobby and Registration areas.  Additional entrances are located on the East side of Level 0 and the East and West sides of Level 1.

Via MBTA Bus Service:
The Silver Line is an express bus service connecting South Station and Logan Airport with the BCEC’s South Boston neighborhood.  The Silver Line stop nearest the BCEC is at the World Trade Center, a short 3-5 minute walk along World Trade Center Avenue (the Silver Line stop is on the lower level at Northern Avenue).
 
 
Regular MBTA bus service is available via Route #7 between South Station and World Trade Center, Monday-Saturday.

Via MBTA Red Line, Amtrak or Commuter Rail:
Exit at the South Station stop and proceed outside to Summer Street.  One option is to take the Silver Line bus service (see previous section).  Taxi cabs are generally available outside South Station on Summer Street; the ride is about 5 minutes.  It’s also an easy 15-minute walk from South Station.  Head east on Summer Street and cross the Fort Point Channel.  The BCEC is about 1 mile on your right.
 
 
Routes by Water:
Two companies, City Water Taxi and Rowes Wharf Water Taxi, operate on-call service between the World Trade Center, downtown Boston, Logan Airport and points throughout Boston Harbor.

PARKING:
You have two options for parking at the BCEC: valet parking or self-parking in the South Parking Lot.  Valet parking is available by turning into the BCEC’s east side entrance off Summer Street; valets are immediately on your right for most events.
 
For self-parking, continue beyond the valet area.  At the end of the building, turn right and go down the ramp.  At the bottom, turn left and you will see the entrance to the “South Parking Lot”.  Shuttle buses run continuously between the lot and building entrances. 
 
Additional public parking is available at The Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, adjacent to the BCEC, at the Park Lane Seaport, the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel and the Seaport World Trade Center.

Our restaurants and food courts hours of operation are based on events being held within the center.

Reservations are not required at any of our dining locations.

Catering, Parties & Events

With 160,000 square feet of meeting room space – comfortable for groups of 10 or 1,000, the BCEC features flexible meeting space, configurable to your needs.  With its 84 meeting rooms, the BCEC is an event planner’s dream. 

Meeting rooms feature modern acoustics and individual climate and lighting controls.  Power, telecommunication, data and audio inputs are also available from floors and walls. 

The BCEC also has 516,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, easily divided into 10 different configurations, over 300,000 square feet of registration and function space.

Our BCEC grand ballroom is not only the largest ballroom in New England, it’s the most spectacular.  With 40,020 square feet of column-free space with a vaulted 32-foot-high wood acoustic ceiling and 270-degree panoramic views of downtown Boston and the Waterfront in the pre-function space, the grand ballroom is a space like no other.

Our chefs and professional event staff customize each event according to your specific needs and our menus can be customized to fit your event.

The BCEC is an industry leader in offering an environmentally-responsible venue for meetings and events. 

Any part of the BCEC can be accessed in no more than eight minutes.

Two private ring roads, 62 covered loading bays and five elephant doors with exhibition floor access.

The exhibit space features a natural-light clerestory throughout.

Fiber-optic backbone links and T3 service for rapid internet connection, microwave and satellite links.

Free Wi-Fi for all attendees on the “Hynes Wireless Network”.

State-of-the-art sound, lighting and audio/visual capabilities.

The FedEx Business Center is open weekdays 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
