Chef Matt's Oatmeal Banana Chocolate Chip

Ingredients
3/4 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1 egg beaten
1 cup smashed banana (approximately 2 bananas) 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 3/4 c rolled oats 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Directions
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and banana and mix until blended. Sift remaining dry ingredients together and add to wet ingredients. Mix until blended and consistent. Scoop onto an ungreased cookie sheet, press down with a moistened hand and bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes.
