Bar Toma is inspired by Chef Tony and Cathy Mantuano’s favorite local bars discovered during their frequent visits over the years to Italy. Every town in Italy, no matter the size, has a local, meeting place for espresso, wine, lunch and dinner; Bar Toma is brining that experience to Chicago.
The menu features pizza, around 20 varieties; a mozzarella bar; gelato, which is made fresh on-site daily and available to-go, an espresso bar serving authentic Italian caffè; Roman-style fritti, which is fried crisp in 100% Italian olive oil; pizza salads, which are salads on top of fresh baked crisps; Italian beers; around 60 wines with many available by the glass, including some on tap, and more.
